2000 Ford Mustang GT driver side door window will not go up. Is this a common problem withthis car? This is the second 2000 Mustang GT that I have owned this year, the first one I tried working on it and...

does the voltmeter needle move when you activate the window switch? compare to a window that works, slight movement to show power being used is normal. if yes, then the motor is getting power, its either the motor or regulator, easy to get at most parts stores. if nothing, then the motor is likely not getting power, it is likely the switch in the drivers door if the other windows work.

1999 Mustang GT Headlight warning chime stays on anytime the lights are on. Even if the door is closed, the key is in the ignition, and car is running. How do I fix the problem?

As *stupid* as this sounds - it seems your "door chime switch" went out (yes, that's really what it's called). Had this problem a while back (which came very close to driving me insane so I feel for you).

If your 99' is anything remotely set up like a 98' - you can locate the faulty switch on the inner part of the door almost smack in the middle of the door hinges. If the part appears to be worn, that is more than likely the culprit. Simply pry it out and get the replacement part anywhere other than your local dealership (for about 20 bucks). Plug the new part in and keep your sanity :D
Hope this helps :)

How do you stop / turn off an 89 Mustang chime / buzzer?

If You Are Talking About The Door Chime There Are Two Ways To Do It One Is To Simply Unplug the Chime Two Is To Remove The Steering Columm cover and Unplug the black wire that is going to the side of the key switch I would Recommend This Method Because Unpluging The Chime Its Self Will Disable the Headlight on Switch off Warning As Well Removing The wire From Switch on column will disable key in switch door open only

83 mustang gt

In a 83 MUSTANG GT the correct answer is BOTH. As a 5.0L and a TURBO CHARGED 4 cyinder were offered.

1983 Mustang GT
  • Engine:
    • 5.0L horsepower increased to 175 HP when 4V carb replaced 2V carb from 1982 (Holley 4180C series).
    • Exhaust system was revised (less restrictive).
    • 4-speed SROD was only transmission available until early December 1982. In December, new 5-speed T5 became standard GT transmission (4-speed remained on option list).
    • Block and crank were revised to accomodate a 1-piece rear main seal in December 1982.
    • The new "Turbo GT" with a turbo charged 4 cylinder engine was available beginning late in the model year - 145 HP and featured the same suspension and other features of the V8 Mustang GT.

Seat belt chime not working

I bet its a fuse. Look under your drivers side belly pan for a fuse box door. Pull the door open/off and look at the fuse diagram to see which one might be related to the seat belt and autol ock. Cross reference it and check the fuse to see if it isn't blown. If you dont see anything that relates to it or dont find any blown fuses, check the engine bay as often cars feature a second fuse box. Check that one for blown fuses as well. This is a very easy thing to do yourself, your randma could do it.

Power door locks and windows not working from the drivers side

Check the fuses first. If that dont work take the door apart the wiers have problably lost the connection due to kids and chocolate.
Gotta love them tho.

Warning chime continues to chime as I drive

My guess is a faulty switch at door for turning off interior lights/door closed, which is giving chime that door is still open
