SOURCE: how do I check the transmission fluid level 2002 Jetta Tdi

Incorrect. There is no dipstick, but it's not sealed. On the front of the trans there is a 17mm allen head fill hole. On the lower driverside there is a drain. Don't have a 17mm? The lugnuts for the wheels are 17mm. Flip a lug nut in the allen and put a flat wrench on it.

No special tools, no special fluid and no special computers.

SOURCE: transmission fluid level

I have a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo however when I purchased the vehicle I managed to obtain a service manual on mine.
Mine is a V-6 3.2liter engine with automatic transmission and it took me a while to find out where I added transmission fluid at too.

It is located under the vehicle on the Passenger side of the vehicle and it is located on the transmission just before the transfer case. There is like a eye beam across one side to another then there is like a Indent the lower one is for drain and the upper one with a larger bolt like plug is the fill hole. I used a turkey baster with a large bulb like affair to **** the transmission fluid in to it from the bottle then I inserted the baster up and into the hole vacated by the plug. Then squeezed the fluid into the transmission and kept at it till the fluid dripped out on its own. I hurried and inserted the plug into the hole and screwed into it and tightened it up and lowered the vehicle down checked after the vehicle had been warmed up and re jacked the vehicle up and rechecked and all I needed was a small squirt into it and it was full and since then it has been running really well since.

SOURCE: Transmission fluid type and level

This is complicated.... Ok, your right, no dip stick is there! This is how it works.
Underneath the car, there is a plug (11mm) on the transmission case on the passenger side. It is about 3" up from the pan edge and on the front side of the case. With the engine running in PARK, remove this plug. If trans fuild doesn't run out of the hole, the level is low. Pour it in the hole on top (where the red cap is) until the fluid runs out - all while the car is running. Once it is roughly dribbling out, the trans is considered full. replace plug. Your done!!

SOURCE: local mechanic says they can't check fluid level

"Sealed" means there's no dip stick tube.
The Explorers and Lincoln LS have this also.
It is nothing new and you can still change/flush the fluid as usual.
A special procedure is used to check the fluid level.
Not having the dip stick tube is one less place for dirt to get into the transmission.

check the fluid level and look and smell trans fluid --if color is not a rich burgundy reddish color looks brownish and smells burnt you can try a fluid /filter change and get and hope to get lucky --also check under at side of transmission at gear selector connect make sure no damage or disconnected --and check wiring to the sensors for same ----if all good than internal damage that a mechanic will have to diagnose

Why would my 99 Nissan frontier transmission stop pulling when I cut off the over drive off

Your transmission is obviously failing, but it may be something as simple as low fluid level or the need for a standard transmission service. Has the fluid and filter been changed in the past 50,000 miles? If not, START THERE. It may be too late to save the transmission but there is always a chance you may.

Where do I put the transmission fluid in a Nissan Sentra 2002. Found where to check it but don't see where to put more in!

The fluid goes in where you check the level, you will need a long neck funnel. Never check the fluid level cold, always make sure the transmission is at normal operating temperature, do not overfill, overfilling can ruin the transmission

How to check and add transmission fluid in a 2001 nissan frontier

Im guessing this is an automatic, theres a trany dipstick, engine should be at operating temp and the truck level remove the dip stick and wipe clean then reinsert and pull out the fluid should be in the hass maxs. if this truck is manual trans then the trany is checked from under the truck, remove the fill plug on the side of the trany and fill unttil oil runs out the fill hole. hope this helps.

Check the fluid level of the transmission. Also if you haven't done so in the last 30k miles change the transmission filter/fluid and pan gasket.
