Question about 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Open Question

I need the Firing Order for my 2006 Pt Cruiser, #4 cylinder is misfiring.

Check engine light on and blinks and makes a beep sound. Had it checked and came up with code P034 no 4 cylinder misfire.

Blinking Check Engine Light / Rough Idle

Double check the spark plug wire firing order. The cylinder have to have voltage in a certain order. If you do not have a motor manual you can google for this information. just write for example: 2002 ford taurus 6 cylinder spark plug firing order. The firing order goes in sequence usually in a clockwise direction. For example: 1, 5, 3 ,6 2, 4 in a clockwise order. spark plug #1 wire goes to the coil then spark plug #5 wire goes on the coil in a clockwise rotation, next to where spark plug # 1 was connected. This would mean that spark plug number 1 will fire (or get voltage), then spark plug nuimber 5 will fire (get voltage), then spark plug number 3 and so on. The sequence will continue to happen over and over again as long as the car is on. Here's another tip! When it nice and dark outside, turn your car on with the hood open and look at your spark plug wires for any voltage jumping from the wires to the motor metal. Keep in mind you may have to tent yourself with a cardboard to see the voltage arcing to metal. It has too be super dark for you too see this fault. Any arcing will cause your engine to misfire and your engine light to come on. Hope this gives you a starting point to finding the problem. Good Luck.

2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser - chuggs at stop lights - acceleration is down - check engine light on and blinks at times

The blinking light means that the cylinder or cylinders are misfiring, the first step is to see if it needs a tune up, bad plugs or wire will cause this. if you go to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer , they will give you a print out of the codes, i will bet theres a few misfire codes. the codes will tell you exactly what cylinder is actting up and from there you can check the wire and plug.

check your fuses @ also check your fuses @ your relays under the hood in the [black box] usually on drivers side fenderwell. the main engine fuse needs to be checked to make sure it's not blown,,,but just to be sure,,,check all the fuses while you're there. easy to check fuses,,if the tabs have break in them,,, no good. hope this helps!!!!

Have a 2006 PT Crusier that rough idle, and check engine light is on with code for #3 cylinder misfire. Replaced spark plugs and wires. Still have engine light on for #3 cylinder misfire. Seems to be fine...

I would start by having your codes cleared. If a fouled plug was the culprit, the pcm may not have reconized that it was fixed.

Try running a bottle of sea foam through it. You could have a sticking fuel injector.

As a last resort , have a compression test done. A crack in the clyinder head could also cause this issue.

I hope this gets you started :)

2003 PT Cruiser - check engine light

Use the correct champion plugs for starters, make sure the wire is firing. If the wire is firing, the coil pack is good. You will need to check compression and fuel delivery after that.
