Volvo xc90 rse system rf head phones stpo after 2 mins

My xc 90 is fitted with the thopson 10 disc dvd changer under the boot floor,this works perfectly, however the 2 wireless rf heaphones work for the first min then switch off. I have checked and the 12v supply and it is constant ,so i can only suspect it is one of the electronic boxes/relys in the system. Volvo have been no help and say the do not nor canot obtain replacement parts.
any ideas welcomed

The dvd is asking for a pass code, is there one>

no, That's a firmware issue. You'll have to take it to a Volvo repair shop and have them update the firmware. They should have received a DVD with an update program on it.

Dealers are expensive place to get parts, so be ready for that with your Volvo XC 90 2004. Try a local salvage yard, ebay, or some other web site to get a replacement part. Otherwise, expect about $100 to fix a broken taillight.

Dvd won't power on

For Volvo Xc-90 2005, same problem with only one headrest dvd working. Start playing a dvd in the working headrest, point the remote at the non working headrest, press media button. This should switch the input back from auxillary to dvd. Tell your kids to never press the media button:)

I just bought a used 2005 XC90 volvo and the 6 disc CD changer/radio will not work,you can turn it on but it goes off in less than a minute it also has no sound at all, you can adjust treble,bass,go to...

Possible fault in the optical head unit. You can remove and clean the lens eye to have a final word.
If the loading is happening without the dettecction or the rotation of the disc ,this is for a sure a possibility.
I would advice that you remove the set clean up , check on the connectors and reset.
If fault repeats get opinion before changing the head unit.

Volvo XC90 6 disc CD player reads DISC ERROR, please help!!

Try this to eject cartridge
PRESS AND HOLD eject button
Insert credit card under cartridge,push firmly in,then move left/right
Try several times ,what it does is locate a micro switch which sticks
This works on all cd stackers providing it has no other problems

My 2003 volvo xc90's disc changer has "eaten" my cd's. It has 6 in it and will not eject any and only one will play. (disc 2). Any ideas?

disc reader in radio is faulty if you bring it to a dealor they should be able to send it off to be fixed.
