SOURCE: Need timing mark settings for 1995 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl

there are two marks one on the cam gear and one on the crank gear. to line these gears up first no#1 cyclinder has to be on commpession stroke, and at top dead center . remove number one spark plug rotate mtr by bumping the starter with key. install commpession gauge hose in number one spark plug hole, when you bump the mtr and that cyclinder is on the compession stroke you will here the air escape from the hose. then rotate the mtr to top dead center by algining the the mark on crank pulley and pointer on the timing cover . cam mark is at 6 a clock postion and the crank mark is at 12 a clock postion. adjust as needed

If you put the tail gate down, there is 2 screw (phillips) that holds the tail light in place. Remove them & you can twist the bulb out. Thats it, put back together in reverse. Hope this helps.

I just bauth a 2005 colorado 4 dr. with a 5 cyl engine i am realy disapointed with the gas milage they advertise it as getting about 18 in city and 20 on highway i get 15 all around.

It probably needs a service and tune-up. Remember too that a used vehicle will not get the gas mileage that is advertised for a new vehicle.
