Check to see if the power steering pump is still turning. If you have a broken drive belt (serpentine belt or "fan" belt), and the pump doesn't turn, you have no power assist. If the pump is still turning, check the fluid level in the reservoir.

SOURCE: Disable anti theft 2001 gmc

There really is no way to just turn off the antitheft system. If you could do it, so could a car thief. The good news is that these things are such a problem that somebody has come up with a part to bypass them permanently. Go to this link and look under "permanent fix". This is about the best option for you. Fixing this system is like throwing money in the trash, when you fix one part, another part goes. Bypass it and all the problems go away. I have installed dozens of these and never had a problem on any of them. .. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

2003 gmc yukon died now the ignition is locked

Sometimes on GM vehicles, the anti theft system can fail. This causes the car to stall and can lock the ignition to prevent theft. If you see a light on the dash that says "security". Then this is your problem. Info and solutions on this site. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

I have a 2000 Yukon Denali and the alarm system will not alow it to start at times.....What should i do whwn this happens or how can i prevent this from happening

According to my lists, 2000 Yukon has a Passlock 2 anti theft security system. This means that the key literally has a transponder in it that sends a radio signal to the ignition. The ignition/lock cylinder then sends a signal to the TDM (theft deterrent module) which then reads the signal and allows your truck to start. If there are any communication breaks, the truck thinks its being stolen and goes into anti theft.... Read up on this link. There might be an option for you. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

I have a 2001 yukon and am wanting to change out the radio. Is the radio going to need any extra parts due to anti theft security?

Depending on what radio you install you will need an installation kit so you can plug in your OEM wiring and not have to splice and decipher factory wiring. Check with Best Buy or Crutchfields' (online)

The car batttery went dead in my 2001 yukon, and when I charged it the key fob would not work? any suggestions.

change the key fob battery. also you might have disrupted the vehicle anti theft system that also works off the key fob. you may have to go to the dealer. the dealer has the only computer to interact with yours.
