Check to see if the power steering pump is still turning. If you have a broken drive belt (serpentine belt or "fan" belt), and the pump doesn't turn, you have no power assist. If the pump is still turning, check the fluid level in the reservoir.

Mark your drive shaft coincidenly with the rear axle and tranny. Remove drive shaft. Press out the old u joints and press in the new. You will need a torch for heat and a lot of patience. Have fun!

turn key to on position, pump gas pedal to floor 5 times and turn off key. start vehilce. Change oil light should flash for 7 seconds and then go out.

There really is no way to just turn off the antitheft system. If you could do it, so could a car thief. The good news is that these things are such a problem that somebody has come up with a part to bypass them permanently. Go to this link and look under "permanent fix". This is about the best option for you. Fixing this system is like throwing money in the trash, when you fix one part, another part goes. Bypass it and all the problems go away.
