SOURCE: will the wheel studs come out of the hub on a 99

Yes they will, front or back, smack the end of stud with a good ballpeen hammer and wiggle them out, **** the new one in place with lots of big washers and socket and torque handle, then torque your wheel nuts with rim on to 85 ft lbs. GOOD LUCK, RDJRP

The cables that lift the roof of my Jurgens slipstream van has brokencaravan problems

You might be able to get replacement cables. You can check online, with a service shop, or at the original dealers. I would suggest asking for instructions on how to install them. It shouldn't be too difficult, but it might be a lot of busy work.

Have a Traction Active light on when I turn left at a slow speed.

EITHER YOU HAVE A HUB ASSEMBLY/ABS SENSOR FAILING IN THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL. THE IMPALA'S ARE REALLY BAD ABOUT CUTTING/TEARING WIRES THAT RUN TO THE ABS SENSOR. PULL THE WHEEL OFF AND CHECK YOUR WIRING TO THE SENSOR IF IT LOOKS GOOD THEN YOU WILL NEED A NEW SENSOR/HUB ASSEMLY.

Hello tclinch.
Your Grand Caravan has hub assemblies front and rear. Also if yours is all wheel drive it has a rear hub as well. Just different removal processes.
Hope your repair goes well for you.
