"No Bus" means the data cable going to the (PCM) computer is unplugged, or the PCM has failed.
Maybe a bad crank or cam sensor could be the reason.
Try wriggling the PCM / wiring
Disconnect the battery negative then unplug and plug back in the PCM connectors. Reconnect battery and run engine.

What does no bus mean on the odometer

No bus means the bus is not operating properly. It means no communication between the modules inside your jeep. All modules inside the jeep (A/C control, radio, onboard computer or trip computer, body control, etc) communicate with each other by means of a wire called bus. Check that wire.

There is a drain on the battery somewhere and then all gauges stop working and get code bu5

No bus refers to the communication bus between all the computers. These are the wires the computers share information on.
When you cluster says no bus it means the cluster can't communicate on the bus.
The whole bus network could be down or the cluster could be defective. Any module on the bus could fail and bring down the bus too

What does that code mean for the 2002 dodge durango "no bus"

The various computer and electronic modules on your vehicle communicate over a "communication bus". This network or bus, is what allows them to send electronic messages back and forth so that they can "talk" to each other. When you get the "no bus" indication is means that this communication network has failed and the modules can no longer "talk" to other. At the same time this occurs all kinds of weird electrical issues are likely occur and this is all due to the bus going down.
