Radio issue My radio has interference when the engine runs but sounds clear when engine is off. How do I fix this?

you are getting interference from electrical componets you can buy a AM noise filter its cheep 15.00 it plugs in to antenna and has 1 power wire . easy fix.

Radio interference


You have a shop put an oscilloscope on the
alternator & look for bad diodes in it.
If that isn't the issue then they some difficult
troubleshooting ahead
Could be a bad fuel pump or hvac motor
Something is putting a frequency on the
electrical bus

Is there any popping when playing a CD or other channel?

If not, then there is an issue with either your radio, or the suppression circuit.


Also you might want to remove any phone chargers or the like and try again. These chargers can interfere with some stereos or radio waves.

Noise interference in ford focus when the engine is running


if talking about the in the radio or the speakers it may be a ground wire causing it you can try to grounding the radio or the speakers to see if that will fix it.

You have a RFI problem that's radio frequency interference. you need and RFI strap for radio to radio attena or an RFI strap from chassis to engine. hope this helps. this is the only way to get rid of unwanted RFI. good luck!

Engine missing, car jerking and juddering


you might have a bad plug wire it doesn't have to be loose you could have a hole or cut in the wire and it's not getting a good spark to the cylinder. the radio interferance tells me this might really be the problem
