Can I drive my 97 sebring without thermostat - 1997 Chrysler Sebring

    I have changed the Elect. fan, Replaced thermostat, flushed radiator. still runs hot

You can not use any vehicle ever made
without a thermostat,the motor has to run
at a specific temp & the computer monitors
You remove it you got multiple problems

    I assume that work was done at a repair shop? They or you need to continue your testing Next would be cylinder contribution,misfires,blocked exhaust converter,head gasket & such

to the front of the engine, just behind the radiator you will notcie 2 wires connecting to a part on the engine, close the the manifold. thats the thermostat. Its close to the radiator hose,,

97 sebring will start and rev up good but when i put it in drive and take off it stalls out and wants to turn off.

those are known for having bad egr valves. but first clean the throttle body. it makes a big difference if its dirty

Did you burp the cooling system after you changed the thermostat and topped off the coolant? If not, click my screenname, go to Tips and Tricks, and follow the procedure there that I've written up. If this wasn't done, it'd be a very easy reason why you still overheat.

'97 Sebring Convertible Replace Ignition lock cylinder w/o key

Go to the dealer with the VIN and they can cut a new key to fit the original cylinder.

Front end knocking from 97 sebring

Move it to 3rd instead of drive and see if you still have the noise. May be transmission related since you have replaced everything else.
