You have a sticking fuel door lock-device. Look to see if the tab is in the down position.

SOURCE: 2006 Chevy Uplander. The power sliding doors won't shut

2 possible solutions. First clean the door pin contacts(multiple spring loaded pins on door side and matching plate on body) with a scotch pad until shiny gold color again. Second the rear edge of the door should be 1mm inside the body opening when closed. If those are correct it is going to take a software download from a dealer to the door control module to fix this. Otherwise you will have to pull the psd fuse and breaker from the right side dash fuse box.

SOURCE: 2005 Toyota Sienna XLE - Automatic sliding door not closing.

This may or may not work depending on exactly what is wrong with the door, I cant tell what is wrong without looking at it directly however:
You can try starting with all doors closed and unlocked, keys in hand disconnecting the battery and letting the vehicle sit for 2 min or so, then reconnect the battery. Put the key into the ignition and turn it to the on position but do not start the van. Next press the button to disable the power sliding door for the drivers side, then manually open the door fully, wait 5 seconds, then close it manually fully. Press button the button again to re-enable the power sliding door, then try to use it with the automatic feature either by pulling the handle or using your remote, this may or may not work depending on if the door has somehow become de-initialized (it should work now) however if something is broken inside the door closing mechanism or door closed/open sensors, the door will continue to malfunction.

I need to disengage the locking mechanism on my sliding door. It sounds like it unlatches but will not open. HELP PLEASE!

You will need to remove the inside panel from the inside of van to access the cables/linkage to see if they are disconnected, try opening from the inside button, also check lock mechanism to see if it is unlocking both electrically and manually. If you slammed real hard you may have done something to the latch.

Sliding door fuse keeps blowing

unless someone disabled needs that function, just let it not work. i have a 2000 pontiac montana whos electric sliding door doesnt move electronically anymore but if you just yank it, itll open and slam it shut. its an inconvienience but its not worth the money to fix unless, like i said, someone disabled needs it

I have a 2005 Grand Caravan and the left power sliding door quit working.

This is listed several times, My 2005 Town & Country had the same problem until I found on this website a solution. Turn the key on, open the door from the seated position in the van and SLAM the door with button pushed 1-6 times. Mine worked the first time.

Want to know how to adjust the fit of the driver side door on a 2005 jeep grand Cherokee needs to be slammed shut.

!st thing to do is to make sure the catch latch on the door is properly lubed. If it is and you still have problems, then the small catch that is on the car, needs to be adjusted.
Open the door and look where the door catch is.On the car. It,s a plate with a u-shaped metal rod. This needs too be moved outwards by about 3mm.It's held by 2 x head screws. They need to be loosened, adjust the plate, and then tightened back up very tight.
If the car door has been opened very quickly by say,the wind or slammed open, then this can alter the door alighnment.
Hope this helps you

Sliding Door Jammed

bump the back of the door (the part furthest from the handle) bump it inwards to close it "more" while pulling at the handle, do it a few times pulling and bumping- quite randomly and see if it opens, I expect it was slammed too hard and has knocked the latch out of alignment -which you can fix with the right spanner and a bit of trial and error.

first how hard did she slam it... second... is the seat belt jammed into the door... basically the only fix for that is to move the handle as tho you are opening it and put your shoulder into it
