    when you hit the gas button it clicks, but it want open the door to the gas tank. i have to put something in it like a crad card and then hit the button to make it open

When the gas door is open, there is bent spring which is held in place with a piece of cheap plastic.  You can find this in the middle of the door on the hindge side.  The spring has broken off of this plastic peice.  Just get another one from the dealer and snap it into place.

How do I fix Gas Tank Door?
Try spraying lube in latch mechanism once door is open. You may even have to bend striker plate on door if possible. Try lube first. "PB blaster" works well
