Service engine code PO 1680

SOURCE: I have a 2008 VW Passat. When the engine light came on I stopped at Autozone and they gave me the following codes: P0089, P0642, P2004. Anyone know what they mean?

CODE 89 IS FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR 1 PERFORMANCE.CODE 642 SENSOR REFERANCE VOLTAGE CIRCUIT "A" LOW.AND CODE 2004 IS ITAKE MANIFOLD RUNNER CONTROL STUCK OPEN.CK FOR BAD OR MISSING VACUUM LINES.IS IT STILL UNDER WARRANTY

Your MAF may be dirty and needs to be cleaned or replaced. You may have a vacuum leak.

In the vast majority of cases, simply cleaning the MAF sensor does the trick. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
Check for a dirty fuel filter and proper fuel pressure

Sometimes you have to wait a week for the light to go off, the computer has to go through several start/run/stop cycles.

yes if the mechanic was sloppy--any service theres a risk of screwin somethin else up--u need to hook it up to a tech II scanner for a data stream to obtain precise info-dont just go changin parts--1st look over engine to see any damages
