1987 nissan pathfinder has almost no power.bad relay?

Ran alright all day until i took it in for a new muffler. she was dead as soon as they dropped it back down in the bay. almost as if battery is dead but tested fine and was charged. battery dummy light blinks and relay clicks rapidly on and off when any power is used (brake pedal pressed, headlights switched on-but dont turn on) . there is a small current still active as the door chime works and cd player barely glows but no display. cleaned posts and replaced terminals. as soon as i attached the positive terminal, a relay at the passenger side started making a fussy clicking sound. where should i go from here? replace relay, or does it sound like something else?

they did have to weld..hmmm if i mention that they might have fried something they are more than likely going to be offended. would the faulty ecu cause the problems im having? the headlights and other things should still turn on...right?

My 2005 nissan pathfinder acts like its out of gas. Put gas, started ran like normal for about two days. Then just stalls out with no warning. Will start back up like twice before it finally just...

My 2005 pathfinder was having the same problem. Took it to the dealer and they told me that there was a re-call on a relay that goes to the ECU. They suggested a engine diagnostics. If it turned out to be the relay, the part/labor and diagnostics would be free. My pathfinder is running great now. Hope this helps.

New pump still no fuel

Its not unheard of for a pump to go bad that soon, can you hear it run when you turn the ignition to on position, if not chk. fuse and relay and all electrical connections and grounds, If it does run get a fuel pressure guage and chk. the pressure.

1987 nissan pathfinder wont crank or anything

FIRST TRY TO SEE IF THE FUSE AND RELAY ARE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. IF THEY CHECK OUT THEN CHECK FOR SPARK AT EACH ONE OF THE SPARK PLUGS. IF YOU ARE GETTING SPARK THEN I WOULD REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. THIS DEVICE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OPENING INJECTORS AND SPARK PULSE THROUGH THE COMPUTER. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. BEST OF LUCK

No power past the battery

Jump start it with + cable on battery - cable hooked to "lift hook" on pass-side of motor. also make sure its in PARK (or Neutral) make sure the "fuse links" (the pink wires from + battery terminal to wiring harness) arent broken or mangled.. if that still doesnt do it, on Pass-Side fender in a little back box (2in wide, 6in long, 6in deep) is a relay (beleve one closest to firewall) called "MAIN RELAY" Common failure on older pathfinders, it just gets old and worn out, replace it, through dealership its EXPENSIVE, through Junk-Yard it may be defective.. I've replaced mine with a cheaper style relay (had to cut/solder wires) ... Discussion Boards on www.4x4parts.com have LOTS of great info on this kind of repair.

Dead battery?

could be several things, like bad alternator relay, bad alternator, voltage regulator. have a qualified tech look at it.
