When arming doors/windows and motion, after the time delay and actually arms, the motions light goes off.. why only doors/windows arm and not motion too?

Is this alarm part of the original car or an add on? Some alarms have different zones that can be activated or deactivated depending on the preference of the owner. If it is aftermarket you will need the manual to execute a sequence to arm or unarm the motion detector zone. The motion detector could be faulty and the alarm is isolating that zone. Alarm keeps going off

The alarm might be setting to sensitve motions detecting mode, this setting,if u come close to the car or slicely taps or touch it the alarm will go off. This setting it is not good for the car as the motions detection sensors over time will get old and will go off at anything causes some presure even slice wind just past by the car.Take ur car to the alarm tech. check it out for the motions detection sensors again change to mormal setting not sensitve mode this setting mode it actually the best, because the normal setting the door have to open before the alarm will go off.Or the alarm tech have do a replacing a new alarm unit it self, because the detection motion sensors can not do a readjustment or resetting the setting any more.

Alarm keeps going off at night especially in windy conditions!

If it's a windy day, whipping tree branches can also cause a false alarm. (motion alarm)
Cover the motion detector's sensor with a piece of cardboard so it won't be able to detect any movement at all. Move the cardboard slowly when you're sliding it over the sensor

My car alarm goes off intermittently

Assuming that you have the dealer installed PRESTIGE alarm unit,I would recommend decreasing the sensitivity of the motion sensor, or replacing the alarm control unit. This black plastic piece, located somewhere in the left kicker panel not only handles the sound/motion alarm, but the flashing alarm, the keyless power locks and the theft code for the radio. It is rare that these boxes fail, more than likely a rusty sensor at the doors, trunk or hood will be the culprit. Mine goes off when cats go under the car, and cant figure why. I am making a decision on fixing the alarm, or fixing the cats.

Alarm keeps going off for no reason-Car battery been checked this am-all ok, have now disconnected car battery to stop alarm going off

it could be your sensitivity on the alarm. some have shock and or vibration/ motion sensors. this is a common problem. a shop that does car alarms can confirm that, and its usually an easy fix.

How do i disable/desensitize the alarm? It went off 4 times in the middle of the night - only the wind was blowing. It is causing my wife and daughter issues sleeping.

Nissan does not have motion sensitive alarms. Your vehicle has an aftermarket alarm on it. Nissans audible alarms will only go off if you open the doors, trunk/rear lift or hood.

Button inside middle of the doors?

The red button you are describing turns off the interior motion detector when you arm your anti-theft system. For example if you were to leave a pet in the car, it would turn off the interior motion detector. I don't recommend that you leave a pet in the car in hot weather or cold. But that is the function of that button. Also if you were to stay in the car and arm the anti-theft alarm it would keep you from setting off the detector that monitors motion inside the car. I don't know why you would want to arm the anti-theft alarm when you are inside the car, but you could if you wanted to. The next time you lock or unlock the car the interior motion detector will automatically be reactivated. Each time I use the remote to lock all the doors the alarm system is activated. I am not an expert, I have only had my 1998 Audi a4 2.8 for a week, so I am just learning about the car. Hope this helps. Vidar
