Unplug the horn
Put battery voltage to it
& see if it sounds ok
If not replace it
Could be the relay is not working
correctly
I wouldn't go to the relay first or replace
it on a wish & hope if you don't know how to
test one.

95 GMC Sierra horn does not work, fuse keeps blowing.

the fuse blows because somewhere after the fuse , the wire is dead shorting out to ground
check / replace any horn relays

use a multimeter set on ohms resistance and that will tell you that it is shorting out as it will register as a circuit

My horn on my 2006 pt cruiser makes a low hushing sound instead of hunking. Where is the fuse box and fuse located to replace.

Would check horn unit because if it making a sound means fuse and horn button are working your horn might have picked up muck or snow

Removed the only wire connected to horn it now is only held and connected to frame by a single bolt. Afraid to wire in air horn because horn still sounds even though it has no wire connected to it.

Hi Christian:
Many vehicles have 2 horns so that the sound is more pleasant. If there is no wire connected to a horn, it can not (in my experience) make any sound. May I suggest that you have someone assist you by tapping the horn button while you locate the horn that is sounding.

Horn not working

or it is the horn, and that has gone bad. Could also be low voltage getting to the horn.
You should have a relay separate from the fuse for it.
Find that relay and swap it with another one of the same size.
like, if the power windows or headlights are the same part number for the relay, just switch them for the test.
if the relay is not the problem, and the horn itself is a no go, the problem could be in the steering wheel/horn ring. under the airbag.

hope this puts you on the right track

Horn doesnt work

Lift the hood of the truck. Locate the fuse box and lift the cover. Check the horn fuse listed on the cover of the fuse box. If the fuse is blown replace it. Have someone press the horn and listen for a faint click from the relay or swap the relay with another one with the same part number (IGN or AC) to test the relay. If you hear a faint click the horn switch on the steering wheel is good. If the horn works after swapping it with another, the relay is bad and you should order a new one. Remove the horn connector and check the voltage with a 12 volt lamp connected to the two wires or a volt meter when someone presses the horn switch. You can also directly wire the horn to the battery to see if it sounds. If it does not sound the horn is defective. If you do not have voltage check the black ground wire on the horn connector to see if it has zero ohms, or if you connect the 12 volt lamp from the black horn wire to the +12 of the battery the lamp should light. If not your ground wire is bad. I hope this helps you find your problem, but if you have any questions post a comment and I will answer your question.

I have a 2003 jeep liberty and the horn works, but sounds awful. Like it only has half its output. Remote as well as manual horn sounds like that

you either have 2 horns (a hi note and a low note) and one is defective or you have one horn that is going bad. check possible bad ground also
