Mazda plugs and wires

No engine told( size and cyl count) or true Mazda name of eng.
hood up does engine crank pulley spin or not?
whines is bad, grinds is good, GRRRRRR GRRRR

if not crank spin, he starter solenoid is bad. or flywheel teeth stripped.
the actual engine crank shaft must spin or there will be no spark
nor fueling!
check fuses
spark dead engine spins ,fuses good is

bad spark ICM module,. or bad Ignition coil.
or distributor or a wreck cap bad or rotor or both. new spark wires here,not 28 year old wires HV,cap ,rotor or spark plugs here

This could go several ways #1 engine mechanical check cranking compression should have 125 psi or greater in all cylinders if low but even squirt oil (1/2 oz.) in 1 cylinder and retest goes higher then rings sealing has been lost. if uneven check timing belt for jumped or misalignment. #2 electrical does it have electrical spark to plugs crank engine with a spark plug connected to spark plug wire laying plug on engine can you see spark? No test ignition coil wires with a logic probe both terminals will be red with key on one will flash red/green when engine cranking does not the primary ignition needs repair Ignition module? or pick-up coil/ crank sensor. #3 fuel system pressure and injection pulse. injection pulse can be tested with logic probe DONOT USE A TEST LIGHT YOU CAN RUIN THE ECU .

YES! Straighten out the T belt & look for any misfires. If u have any spring loaded pulleys or tensioners, REPLACE THEM. Did U have a misfire before u did the work?

check if the car is firing by pulling an ht lead off the plugs and put another spark plug on the ht and earth the spark plug if it has spark when cranking if it is there check the fuel system if the fuel is getting to the injectors.

u need a autoelectrician, not a mechanic

Try jumping the starter i.e use a starter manual switch. If it cranks than most probably you have a faulty switch.

Engine is flooded. Car must be taken to Mazda Dealer to have computer reset(flashed). I have a 2004 that needs this done about 3-5 times/year. Weird but true.

this is common,it is flooded,Mazda has a concern with this model and a dealer may install a new motor if the compression is down

sounds like a dead battery to me maybe even a dead cell in it? check that first, get back to us.

your starter is dragging. you may need to replace the starter.
