Hi everyone. I have saungyong rexton 3.2 Benz 2006. The trouble is that the engine after starting is not stable with blue smoke sometimes. In the scanner the line of the o2 sensor is not well and after replacement the two sensors and after clean the injectors and replace the coils and plugs-still the same after all. The co level is more than 2.5 percent. Some has this problem before in the same car? Thank you. Rot

SOURCE: cylinder 3 misfire

Make sure you're using the recommended spark plugs. When my car did that, I had put Bosch Platinum Plus-4 plugs in and got that same problem. Turns out the plugs are too hot and cause it to fire prematurely and kick the misfire code.

1- check there is spark come from spark wires
2- check the fire timing by looking for every wire in the right place
3- check there is injector signl
4- check for any vacuom leak
5- try to clean the MAF by brake and parts cleaner
6- try to reset all the code and see what will come after that

The AF sensors are uupstream and the O2 down stream. The car' s computer tests them and it is saying your cats are bad. If you have a scan tool you could look at the data and see what the sensors are seeing. The Af sensors are the ones that control the fuel ratio in the car while the O2's just watch. AF's would be the one to change but there is no garuatee that the codes won't come back.

What could cause blue smoke from exhaust?

blue smoke is burning oil
I gather that you let the engine idle and when you give it rpms that there is a cloud of blue smoke
if that is the case it indicates that the valve stem seals are hard /failed and when the engine is at idle ( 15" mercury vacuum in manifold) the oil around the valves is sucked past the stem seals and into the combustion chamber
AS you have restricted use of the machine (every 3 weeks ) it is not a great problem as when you are on the road it is not happening (Only at idle )
It is repairable without removing the head if you find an accredited service shop that has experience in the procedure.

My rexton 2005 sometimes won't start. but if u lock it up and go bk which could be between 10 mins and 3 hrs.it starts up without a problem and it's random on it times. any idea please

Does it not turn over or it turns over but wont start?
If it will not turn over I would check the ignition switch for loose connection. If it turns over but wont start check the fuel pump relay.

Blowing blue smoke

Hi can you tell me make and model. Does the car blow blue smoke all the time and other than smoke any other symptons? poor starting , power loss etc.
I had a similar problem on a golf gti after servicing drove very well but smoked on start up, and found to be the high grade fully synthetic oil recommended by the factors was simply too thin, and thus giving me by pass on worn valve seals and pistons on older engine sometimes a thicker grade oil is better.

Where is the oils filter located on a Diesel Sangyong Texton 2005 Merc DXi270

The oil filter for the diesel Rexton is behind the engine block on the passengers side. If you remove the plastic engine cover and stand next to the passengers mirror, you will see the casing next to the firewall.

Is there any bad effects of blanking off the egr on my sangyong rexton 2.7 i have heard that the ecu recognices it as a fault

Hi,
yes, there will be a bad effect if you do that. The ECU will not be able to exercise it's engine management role correctly, and the performance of the car will be affected.

Good luck.

My Ssangyong Looses Power

the problem is due to your engine temperature sensor which is by fault sense the tempt high, which instruct the fuel injector to give lean fuel ratio to the engine and cause your engine hunting and shut off.on normal condition it sense tempt hi when u already hav enough rich fuel inside your engine thats why it try to reduce your fuel ratio.
