SOURCE: my 2005 altima idles high and engine code

Your Altima will require an idle air volume learn after cleaning. This procedure will set your idle speed. If the code keeps recurring after the IAVL your throttle chamber may need to be replaced.

P1111 code on Nissan TIIDA 2007 Sedan was Diagnosed loosing power when driving.I was told about changing oil and cleaning the Intake Selonade valve. How do i clean it.

Try changing oil first. Intake Valve Timing Control solenoid is located on passenger side of engine bay, with an electrical connection on one end. It's held in by one 10mm bolt. It is inside the cover that goes over the camshaft pulleys. Don't use any oil additives, they can gum up the solenoid as it uses oil pressure to adjust your valve timing. If you remove solenoid, it can be cleaned with throttle body cleaner.

Hi i have a code reading P0506 for a 06 GMC Envoy XL any recomondations

{: ) DTC P0506 Idle Speed Low
The usual cause is an excessive carbon build-up on the throttle body. If this is the case, I suggest you have your throttle body cleaned and perform an idle relearn procedure using a GM scan tool. The idle relearn or reset procedure is very important, otherwise this code may still remain even after a throttle body clean.
In a similar fashion, if the ECM/PCM (engine control module) of a high mileage vehicle is replaced and/or reprogrammed without performing the Throttle/Idle Learn procedure, the ECM/PCM may no longer compensate for existing carbon build up in the throttle body, causing it to return with a similar concern as well as DTCs P0121, P0506, and/or P0507.
There are other conditions that can also affect or reduce idle speed by increasing engine load like incorrect torque converter clutch (TCC) operation, accessories that require additional torque to operate, restricted exhaust, and mechanical conditions that limit engine speed.

Abnormal idling when I am about to make a stop

the throttle body air valve or throttle valve needs cleaning.it has a little carbon build up.it will cause it to idle high.get gum out throttle body cleaner. remove all electrical components.also all plastic and rubber parts the gum out cleaner will destroy it. also replace throttle body gasket.

Honda civic 2000- idle speed is high even in park or neutral

Check your coolant level. The Idle air control valve works with coolant in the system and will produce high idle it there is very little coolant. Also check to see if there are any vacuum lines disconnected. They can also cause the high idle.
