Question about Cars & Trucks
When I had the machine on the car it showed the code po129 and it said baremetic pressure what does that mean is it the map sensor that needs to be replaced and is it still driveable?

The DPFE sensor is a very common failure on all Ford models. Just have the sensor replaced. Or do it yourself. It is very easy to change you can do it in 10 minutes.

The EGR valve would be an out put sensor. Your code show an input sensor. Dig a little deeper to find the right sensor. I do apologize for not being able to tell you where to look. Yet it sounds to me like you know a bit and there is always some value in tracking down a problem and finding a good ending.

If the map sensor is running high, manifold absolute pressure, then I would try checking for a vacuum leak somewhere, or, change the map sensor and see what happens.
Also, check plugs and wires for age.
