4wheelers powersteering

Normally atf(automatictransmissionfluid)is ok for powersteering also, but there are some bmw models that it doesn't fit.
If you have a green label on your powersteering oil tank, then you should use sfs11, if I remember right. Anyway this whatewer oil ia the same that citroen uses for hydraylic systems. Suspension etc.
But don't mix them.

Have you looked at the belt(s) to see if they are still on the pulleys ?

Check the level of your power steering fluid and have your pump checked. You are probably just low o fluid.

should be near the front of the engine passenger side it has a pulley on it usually on left front side of engine it will have two hoses going to steering box

Had the same car but 96.. It is normal an well get better in tha summer jus be patient.. It does that wid most vehicals, motorbikes, 4wheelers, cars, boats. Even big trucks

may be you have a leak and your car run out of powersteering fluid or your powersteering pump os no good.

your fan bely has broke thats all seek help from a local garage who will fit a new one for you ,unless you can coax father to do it for you

That means the fanbelt on the alternator is not tight enough or needs to be changed, if the belt on powersteering goes via A/C than it might be too tight on the powersteering pulley.

YOU MIGHT HAVE ONE OF THE LINES ON WRONG. REVERSE THEM
