Replaced oil drain plug 4 years ago. Now will not tighten. I'm losing 1-qt of oil per week.

That did the trick. The oil drain plug is not tight and no more leaking. Thanks.

Sorry - typo: "plug is NOW tight..."

If you are sure it is leaking from the drain hole the most likely culprit would be the washer for the drain plug. Over time it becomes less effective because it gets crushed every time people tighten it. You should be able to replace it at any auto parts store.

Cant find the drain plug on the oil pan for my 1999 chrysler concorde lxi

The oil drain plug is located on the side of the oil pan, passenger side. It does not look like a typical drain plug, as it's one of those quick drain type. It is meant to be hand loosened and tightened. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN or you are in for a world of hurt. Just firmly finger tight

Burning 1 qt oil 2007 grand caravan sxt per 1000 miles. changed pcv vale still happenung

Is it really burning it, or just losing it? If you have blue smoke coming out your tail pipe, and oily black spark plugs, there's really not a whole lot you can do about it short of a rebuild of your engine. It really sounds like a rear main seal leak, or a faulty oil filter.

My crystler concord just got an oil change 2 to 3 weeks ago and i changed the oil filter, but the oil level is already low, what does that mean?

Does the car emit blue smoke from the exhaust when driving? If so, either the piston rings or valve seals could be bad (expensive repair). The PCV valve could also be bad. The last reason (but no blue smoke) might be a physical oil leak due to a loose oil filter, drain plug, leaking oil pressure sensor, or worn crankshaft seal. Good luck!

Stripped out oil drain plug

I have a similar situation on a 2000 VW Jetta. It's an easy fix. Do nothing to the plug, leave it there. I replace my oil using a small pump that was purchased from JC Whitney that removes the oil from the pan via the dipstick hole. Basically, it pulls the oil up via a long tube and into some container. Works fine, I recommend it. Check it out here: http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2009567/c-10101/Nty-1/p-2009567/Ntx-mode+matchallpartial/N-10101/tf-Browse/s-10101/Ntk-AllTextSearchGroup?Ntt=oil+change
