Question about 2007 Ford C-Max 2.0
Bough a used C-Max 2.0 tdi car on Friday. It is keyless entry and keyless start (power button is on the dash) Been away for the weekend and all worked fine. Last night I couldn't lock it as the fob seemed to go dead. Locked it with a normal key instead. Noticed keyless entry wasn't working after that. Big issue came this morning when trying to start it. As there is no ignition (I assume anyway) the spare key can't start the car. I can get in but can;t make it go. Is there a workaround or have I just missed something? (I will try a new battery in the fob asap but can't do it right away. I'm looking for a way to start the car without the keyless system.)

SOURCE: Truck having trouble starting.
With the engine running remove the positive battery cable, if the engine continues to run the alternator is good and the battery is probably bad. If the engine dies then the opposite is true.

SOURCE: car still won't start
The taurus is equipped with what is called a PATS (passive anti theft) that wont let the car start until it recognizes the key in the ignition, some things to check, first when you put the key in and turn the car to run (not start) does the theft light blink fast in the dash or is there a red on light on the dash that starts blinking? if so it is a PATS problem, the only ones I know of that can program keys are dealers, if the car wont turn over it probably is not a fuel pressure issue, the most common thing would be the PATS keys either unprogrammed or somthing wrong with the module. hope this helps

SOURCE: 2005 F150 Keyless Entry
There is a technical service bulletin out on this probelm on 2004/2005 F150.
ISSUE: Some 2004-2005 F-150 vehicles built through 2/7/2005, may exhibit an inoperative keyless entry keypad. This may be due to the vehicle security module (VSM) not being configured to accept keyless entry keypad input.
The fix is to reprogam the vehicle security module with as-built data. So it would have to go to the dealer to do this.
The tsb number is 05-5-5.
