Wire color for 2013 Nissan Versa tail light

What is the correct color representation for turn, stop, flasher, and brake lights in a 2013 Nissan Versa? I have a trailer harness to hook up and Nissan has a blue wire and a black wire. The harness doesn't have those colors. Only the red yellow brown and white.

2013 crew cab short bed. Why aren't tail lights, brake lights, and license plate lights working?

Hello,

So--there are several things I am thinking here. On some vehicles there is a brake module that causes the tail and brake lights to go out. On my 99 cougar they had to bypass this module because the modules kept going out.
Next--the tail, brake, and plate lights are all on the same wires with the same ground much like on a trailer. If you have a bad ground, if you have a wire that has rubbed off the wire sheath and is touching a ground then this will cause your problem (closed circuit). Test light, time--.
Bulbs?

I hope this helps.

I hav a 2000 Mitsubishi gallant brake lights& flashers Wrk but no tail lights.. If u break a relay and touch metal to metal they choke on

Check that you have the correct bulbs in the tail light sockets. I had a similar problem on my Nissan Sentra. The problem was that the service guys installed a single contact bulb instead of one with double contacts, and this was interfering with the functioning of the tail lights due to the brake switch controlling the tail lights instead of the brake lights. If that doesn't help, check the fuses, and finally trace and check the wiring harness. Good luck!

2004 Chrys Concorde, new utility trailer, tail light converter. Problem: There is output from conv box in yellow wire, when turn signal is on, but when it is connected to the trailer harness, no output...

Your vehicle CANNOT be wired for a trailer without using the converter box. The only vehicles that do not require a converter box are the vehicles that use the stop lamp bulb as a turn signal. Your vehicle is equipped with SEPARATE stop lamp and turn signal bulbs.

To make the converter box work correctly, it must be wired according to the instructions to BOTH the stop lamps AND the turn lamps. The tail (or PARK) lamps DO NOT go through the converter box.
Your trailer uses the SAME bulb for stop and turn - THIS is the reason you need a converter.

The wire color for both your LEFT TURN and your RIGHT TURN are LIGHT GREEN/TAN. Although the wire colors are the same at the bulb sockets, these are SEPARATE circuits and must be wired to the correct wire at the converter box. (LEFT and RIGHT) The converter box will have an INPUT connection for EACH of these.

The wire color for your STOP lamps is WHITE/TAN. The converter box should only have one INPUT wire that connects to this. It doesn't matter which side of the vehicle you connect this wire to. All of the stop lamps are on the same circuit.

The converter will then have only one wire for LEFT turn and stop (usually YELLOW) this is the wire that needs to go to your trailer connector for left turn and stop.
The RIGHT turn and stop will most likely be GREEN coming out of the converter.

IF THE TURN SIGNALS STILL WORK IN THE FRONT, THAT MEANS THE FUSE & THE FLASHER ARE OK. IF THE SIGNALS DON'T WORK AT ALL CHECK TURN SIGNAL FUSE & STOP / BRAKE FUSE. ARE YOU SURE THE CORRECT BULBS ARE BEING USED?

I suspect that the 4 wire harness includes a ground, so you may not be able to connect both brake lights and turn signals, which are separate lamps on the pickup. You may need to get an adapter.

In any case, the color codes on the pickup are:

Tail lights -- pink/blue
Brake Lights -- green/yellow
Left turn signal -- gray/blue
Right turn signal -- gray/red
Ground -- black
