Question about 1994 Cadillac DeVille
I have a 1994 DeVille, with less than 100K miles. Should I be concerned about 2 small oil leaks that appear directly under the engine on the driveway. We just had trans svc, manifold gasket and oil pan gasket work done. Thanks for your advice.
Yes, Those small leaks will become big leaks. Is it trans fluid red color? Then I would go back to the shop where the trans service was done to have them re-seal the pan gasket.
Thank You for using Fixya.com

I hate to tell you this because I know it isn't an easy task changing the water pump but if it is coming between the block and the water pump housing you need to pull it back off and make real sure it is very clean by scraping the old gasket off and putting sealer on the gasket. Every bit of the old gasket has to be removed before putting the new gasket on. You could try and tighten down your bolts a little but be careful not to break the bolt or you then have another problem.

Thi is a major task. Recommend you go to a public library an check out a Haynes manual and read up on this task and you will see what I mean

SOURCE: How do I remove the
Answer is.... You will not be able to remove the oil pan with out ruining the oil pan gasket. You may want to buy a new gasket and a about 4 cans of oil before you start. There is a drian plug in that vehical for the engine oil. Not the tranny. Go to a place like PetBoys and get the gasket first, and the oil!. Keep in mind you may want to make sure the oil pump pick up filter is clean' Once you drop the pan you will see the pick up for the pump.
Hope that may help you.
I'm looking for votes. If my info. was helpfull please vote with all your 4 thumbs.
