It's one of a few problem. One, your battery is not fully charged and isn't getting enough power to the starter, which makes the starter solenoid click because it isn't engaging the starter. Two the starter solenoid is starting to go bad. With either of these two you can have them both checked at your local Auto Parts store for free. More than likely it is the battery. A few more uncommon problems could be that the battery wires aren't attached firmly to the battery terminals or if your battery terminals have build up on them, they need to be cleaned and inspect the wires to make sure they don't have build up in them as well. if you don't shift into 4 wheel drive while the car is still rolling (slow roll between 15-25 mph) the 4 wheel drive will not engage.so if you tried engaging it after you got stuck then it won't work.
