If there was a fuse in the battery cable ( which I seriously doubt because of the extreme current draw when cranking) you would have nothing. I suspect what you have is a failed fusible link (rated at around 30 amps) which allows power for just about every unit using power.. The fusible link will be near the ceramic fuses next to the battery under the bonnet

I believe your oil pump is not working, Please do not start the car anymore or your engine will suffer severe engine damage, have it towed to your mechanic.

SOURCE: Battery died replaced battery but now the radio

Quick and free fix sir or maam. The radio locks up when the battery is removed on today's cars.I don't know who decided to start it but it is somewhat stupid...I think anyhow. All you have to do is call a Ford dealer and they will give you the code and method to unlock your stereo.Write it down because your battery may get disconnected for many other reasons than a dead battery when repaired.I am pretty sure they just need the VIN.You can put aftermarket stereos in too if you ever want to.Good luck! Where is the alternator fuse located on my 2009 ford focus?

There is no "fuse" per se, however there is a fusible link built into the cable that leads to the alternator (from the battery & starter).
If this is blown, there is no connectivity between the battery, starter and alternator.

Now when the hazard switch is disconnected the indicators shouldnt work but the only thing i can think of is the indicator unit is faulty ,do the hazards light the indicator lights up and they dont flash or is nothing happening?

Chevy tahoe rse

Check all the fuses (under hood and inside drivers door) to make sure none have blown. I checked with a test light. If you don't find any blown fuses try disconnecting the battery (neg) cable for about a minute. Disconnecting the battery worked for my 05' Tahoe.

2000 ford focus. the battery went dead. after jumping it the radio wont come on. I was told it needs to be reset but there is nothing in the manual to tell you how

It would ask for a code. Sounds like a blown fuse. You actually have 2 fuses that run the radio, one that is listed as Radio, and one that has a constant voltage on it. Look at Cigar lighter, or dome light, or some other fuse that would always have power on it.

Ford focus 52 plate, fitted new silver calcium battery but car has no ignition.

Check battery cable connections to make sure they are tight and have a metal to metal connection. Make sure the rubber ends didn't get in between connections. Then check the fuses to make sure none are blown. You can test ignition and power to starter with a voltmeter.
