SOURCE: transmission swap

yup, the motor and drive train are the same... if the wheel base is the same between the two trucks, than you can also use the drive shaft from it too

SOURCE: 1996 Corsica - how to remove alternator

you have to undo the belt by lifting on the tensioner which located on the below the power steering pump you may have to remove the motor mount bolts (make sure you suport the motor use a piece of wood so you dont crack oil pan) once you remove the belt look behind the alternator, mine had a hood connected to the cowl that comes of easy unhook the two wires (one is a plug with alittle clip the other is on a bolt held on by the nut) find the bolt on the alternator towards the front of the car remove that bolt and the brace it goes into there is another little black brace that comes off the back and goes to the manifold the next bolt is towards the back it is a long bolt that goes all the way though this one is a pain to remove and put back once you have them out is should come out i had to wiggle mine some then just do it backwards to reinstall

SOURCE: 96 Corsica hand brake warning light stays on

along with warning that the e-brake is engaged, it's also a waning light that something is wrong with the brake system. however, it may be a defective switch on the e-brake handle. i would have a break check done. also chech the fluid level.

Will quit when comes to stop unless drop in nuetral and keep gas revving and drop into drive and go fast

Manual or automatic trans? If it's automatic, does it shudder when coming to a stop, before it stalls? If this is happening, replace the torque converter clutch solenoid in the transmission. It's sticking closed. This is just a guess since of the lack of info.

Transmission will disengage when turning a corner

Have your transmission fluid checked it sounds like the fluid is a little low .When this happens the fluid shifts away from the sump in the transmission and it will lose it's prime allowing the transmission to disengage .Sometimes it only take 1 quart low to make a difference:).
