Question about Hyundai Tiburon
I have a 03 tiburon gt 2.7, it will barely start, run for a couple secs then die, wait a while and it will start back, plugs seem wet, i unplugged ecm fuse and cranked car over, only getting compression on 2 cylinders 1 and 6, 1 is 120 and 6 is like 180, other 4 are zero, someone told me if crank sensor is bad it wont allow compression but that doesnt make since considering timing belt rotates cam which opens and closes the valves making compression.
Yes, you are right. Someone doesn't know what a crank sensor is. Four cylinders at zero means engine repairs are needed. It's a mechanical problem. Very strange that four are zero. Was engine overheated causing head gaskets failure?

Testimonial: "i got the car the way it sits so im not sure, i checked the timing it looks to be in time, took the intake off, intake valves dont look bent, and 2 of the cylinders had like 10lbs or maybe 15, other 2 was zero, one was 120 and 6 was 180 "

Try the ignition switch,
For the Crank sensor there is a small metal disc that mounts behind the sensor if that is cracked or dammaged or installed backwards you will get same results as if it wasn't Make sure the timing marks line up on your timing belt. www.kiatechinfo.com

First, change the fuel filter, and make sure the lines are good. Check the intake manifold bolts for tighness, check all vacuum lines. Best to have it running, wiggle them around and listen for a hiss. Lastly, change idle control sensor, if the other suggestions don't make a difference.

theres a reflash program that needs to be done on these cars, because of extended crank time and cam / crank syhcronizing out, start there, also i had one with same code and found that aftermarket cam sensors dont work, installed dealer part and had the updated reflashing done and solved the problem.
