Question about Cars & Trucks
Installed new coil and new module power at the coil and still no spark. I need to find out wiring diagram, it shows a box on the right hand passenger side. Can the computer effect the spark control. It's a 1984 ford E150 5.0?
Check your getting power when you turn on the key at your ignition .do that at your fuse box checking it switches on or off .if not trouble is the electrical part of your ignition switch.

I would buy a book with the procedure to troubleshoot the ignition system. The problem could be the pickup coil in the bottom of the distributor among other things. The module uses the pickup coil to know when to fire the plugs. The computer only controls when the cylinders fire.
