You can check with a local auto parts store on the cost. They are inside the transmission. Are you sure its a 1969 model ?

SOURCE: Bottom trans cooler line damaged: How could this

I can't answer all your questions, but the lower trans cooler line is vital in keeping the transmission fluid temperature not to overheat which will burn up the transmission if left ignored.
Limited slip is the rear differential and how it works (the tube in between the rear wheels with a large round thing in the middle) During normal driving the right rear wheel is the prominent wheel that allows your vehicle to go forward, in slippery conditions if that wheel starts to spin clutches on the inside of the rear differential will allow the left rear wheel to also start to spin so both rear wheels now are turning which helps getting your car out of that slippery condition. (in theory)

I have a 1996 Grand Jeep Cherokee and was told that there is a switch that is connected to the transmission that needs to be repaired, a plug switch, it will only start if those wires are connected, not...

If the switch (neutral safety switch) is located at the drivers rear of the transmission, you can usually get a replacement plug from a scrapyard. the plug has three wires. one is power, one goes to the reverse lights and the other operates the starter. (difficult to get it wrong when re-connecting).
If the switch itself is bad, it just screws out and screws back in. Put a pan under there when replacing it as you may loose some trans fluid..
If you have a six cylinder then the switch should be on the passenger side of the trans opposite where the linkage on the drivers side goes into the unit. That's a bit more complicated to replace and I suggest you get a chilton or haynes manual for instructions. That switch has it's own harness that ends at a plug up on the firewall near the trans fill tube.

I have a 2008 Jeep Liberty sport it has 39600 back-up lights not

If you have tested fuses and bulbs with test light, and they check out,
the next step is to put you jeep in reverse with the key on,and use your test light to probe the wires before they enter the bulb sockets for power,if you have power replace sockets,if not check to make sure wires are still connected to back up light switch on trans,if you find no problem there, replace the switch
