Question about 2000 Ford Escort
Just replaced dead battery... now auto transmission is slamming from 3rd to 4th gear and does the same when slowing down. (107,000 miles on the car) Can you tell me if this would be the transmission, or the alternator sucking energy from the battery?
I would say that you need to reset the control module for the transmission to work properly. Have this done by a code reader tool for best results.. If you still have the problem have the fault codes read at the same time.
