The reverse sensor system on my 03 Escape not working, what can be the cause?

Since the reverse sensors are located, usually, in the rear bumper, there could dirt covering the sensors, the wiring harness could be corroded, a wire could be severed or a loose connection. Also check your fuse panel for any burnt fuses or relays

I have a 2007 f-150 and the reverse went out could this be a sensor and if so where is the sensor located?

No, if forward gears all work and reverse isn't, it likely is going to be a internal failure.

Reverse sensors are very quite and come on as soon as reverse is engaged

check with the dealer service centre to see if it is possible to turn up the volume for the reversing sensors . I would expect them to come on when the reverse gear is engaged as that is when they are supposed to work . When you are going to go in reverse.

Reversing sensors only work when weather is good

The sensors are prone to clogging with dirt and ice. The only suggested solution other than replacement is to periodically blast the sensor cavities with a high pressure stream of water at a car wash then allow them to drain and dry. My RSS comes and goes on a whim

Why has the parking sensors on my bmw stopped working

There is few options.First-reverse switch not working. How to check-switch ign. ON,select Reverse and check reverse lights at back.If not-change switch. If O.K. go to step two: Disconect reverse sensors next to a bumper and check for resistance/any one/,because all sensors are conected in serie. If there is not resistance check all sensors one by one to find a wrong one.And last one-check "beep" speaker

2002 x5, the reverse sensor

i would check to make sure the connections to #1 in this pic are secure:

its the active PDC control unit. this is assuming none of the sensors are working when you are in reverse.

by the way, does the front PDC work or is it acting the same way?
