Torque specs axle nut

Most people don't own a torque wrench that goes past 150 lbs
& you can't push it that far

So if the nut was say 180 or 206 you have to stop at 140 & then
use a 3 foot 3/4 drive bar or ratchet & go another 1/8 turn.

Google the question,should be there

Need to know the torque value of hub axle nut on 1996 mercury mistique..

It is very smart of you to want to torque the axle nut, the number one cause of wheel bearing failure is due to improper nut tighening. a lot of techs just use an impact gun to tighten the nut and that is very bad,Anyway the torque specs are to tighten to 214 ftlbs. god day
