Question about 1997 Dodge Intrepid
This has been a worsening problem. The windows and heat will not turn on unless I take about five minutes to gently move around the key in the ignition and hold the window switch either up or down. It seems to be easier to get them working when it is very hot or humid outside. Any suggestions on what the problem is?

SOURCE: power windows
As long as the windows will work fine some of the time, it sounds like the problem is in the power supply and replacing the fuse should fix it, otherwise there may be a loose wire somewhere in the circuitry.

Remove the door panel and find the window motor Unplug it and using a separate car battery run cables directly to the window motor When you switch the polarity the motor will either bring the window up or down or if noting happened change the window motor and window regulator assembly.
