What are you unplugging ??
Do you mean the temp sensor for the computer ?

Have code PO107 after clearing it keeps coming back


The P0107 code is a bad MAP sensor circuit. Unless you replace the sensor, you can clear the code a million times, and it will come right back. And without that sensor, the engine will run rough, since the PCM has no idea how dense the air is to make adjustments to the fuel/air mix.

1986 plymouth voyager runs rich there was a recall / letter sent but cant find the part number to fix this problem. Any ideas?

My van starts right up when its cold but after it gets hot and i slow down it stalls and won't start again til it cools down hours later all my vacum hoses are attached what is wrong?


Change the coolant sensor but make sure the coolant is full up in the radiator. When this sensor malfunctions, it sends the incorrect signal to the computor & it stays in the incorrect timing mode & the car stalls. The sensor is close to the thermostat housing. Good luck. When the engine is hot, unplug the sensor & it will start immediately. Again, good luck!

I have a 97 voyager , it starts up cold first tap of the key , but when it warms up and i shut it off them try to restart it nouthing , motor doesent turn over , I replaced the starter, fuel pump , starter...


I see why your questioning why now for heat shield but I'm trying to narrow down the possible causes, as like you, it doesn't make sense to me, after replacing all those parts, unless maybe one is faulty. For years they used a heat shield over starter, now, not so much, but you'll have to look at location of your starter in relation to exhaust heat, and decide whether you feel it's necessary or not. As in other post , are you getting any clicking noise of any kind, when trying to start hot?

You say it gets hot and overheats, are you losing coolant when it overheats? If it isn't boiling over, you seemed to cover everything that could be wrong, the fan is working, if it is not boiling over, just registering hot on the gauge, I wonder if it's just a temp. sending unit that's bad, indicating a overheating problem when there really isn't one. The water pump is bad when the shaft bearings go bad, and it will leak at that point. So, let me know if the car is actually boiling over (steam visible, exiting the cooling system)
