What is the question?
Sounds like you have an Evap
System to work on,how would it get cracked,
doubt it.
Don't see that having anything to do
with a transmission problem.
TCC Light (torque converter) ?

well pete i would if i knew what it looked like and where it is located on a 07 hhr. you dont think this canaster has anything to do with the trans? when i i am going somewhere it shifts great but when the dingdong light come on it says traction control. go from there.

The Evap system is just that A system to remove fuel fumes from the tank, nothing to do with the transmission If you had a vacuum hose off on the engine then that might effect engine performance & fuel control as will the cracked canister You have cover a couple different trans issues You can't accomplish anything here as you have little vehicle experience,so get a start on the issues at some repair shop of your choice I will tell you every mile you drive with a transmission issue is a mile closer to needing it rebuilt when you ruin it. You should not be using the vehicle with either problem untill resolved

Motor stops in hot weather and restart in a few minits

I f you are not getting any engine light - MIL light on the dash board . I would have the fuel filter changed . If this dosn't correct the problem then you have some kind of a problem with the fuel pump eighter electrical or a restrection with the EVAP system eighter the canaster vent valve or canaster purge valve . It is likely vapor lock in the fuel line or insiffent fuel delevery also check your gas cap the system needs to have pressure in it but also needs to vent at the correct times thus the canaster vent valve that sends fuel vapor to the purge valve to be burned at higher engine speeds from the fuel tank but it is a sealed system . Try the fuel filter more then likely this is the problem it should be replaced on a 5 year bacis as a rule and will damage the fuel pump if not done

Where is the evap vent solenoid locate on a 99 silverado

Its in the rear frame area of the vehicle its mounted to the frame or a cross member between it there all a little differant location but close to the charcoal and fuel tank . They also have a filter inside them that can be cleaned . But the lines come from the tank eighter off the pump or more likely the rollover valve at the front of the tank and allwas gose to the characoal canaster . It works in conjuntion with the canaster purge valve on the intake manifold it takes the exess vaper from the fuel system stores it in the canster when the vent valves opens and then when the engine speed is high enough the purge valve opens sending the vapor the the intake manifold to be burned at the higher engine speed more demand for fuel condution

I have a po442 code on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe

p0422 is a small leak in what is called your EVAP system basicly its the pressure that is held inside the fuel tank its an emissions thing there two valves one by the tank called the canaster vent solenoid and one on the intake manifold called the canaster purge solenoid . The vent sends fume from the tank to the charcoal canaster when the pressure is high inside the tank and is stored until the engine speed is high enough to open the purge valve to allow this vapor to be burned in the engine It could be anywhere in the system a leak but the gas cap often be the problem if its not sealing ther you will have a small leak in this system . It could be something else but see if when you remove the cap after driveing for a while if you have pressure when you remove the cap it is likely the problem

OBD INSPECTION; NO MIL AT KEY-ON-ENGINE-OFF MIL COMMANDED ON 3 TROUBLE CODES REPORTED: PO403 EGR Circuit Malfunciton PO442 EVAP Control System Leak Detected (small leak) PO455 EVAP Control...

This sounds like it could be a paet called the canaster vent purge solionid. It could give you codes P0442 AND P0445 large and small leaks and also effect the EGR opperation P0403. Its located on the top of the intake manifold it opens and closes when comanded to to let fuel vaper in to the engine to be burned it the combustion chamber. If this valve were stuck in the open pisition this could cause all of these problems at the same time. No way to tell for sure with out looking at but this is well worth checking it vary well may be the olny problem you have

What is a p0442 code for my 2006 Suzuki Forenza?

P0442 means that there is a small leak in what is called the evap system What it dose is take gas fumes from the fuel tank and divert them to the charcoal canaster to be burned in the combustition system routed through two solinoid valves called the canaster vent valve and the canaster purge valve the vent being from the tankto the canaster and the purge being canaster to the combustion chamber Its a small leak it could be anyware in the system but i would replace the gas cap first many times it starts to leak at the seal and will set this code Its all for emissions and dosn;t have a large effict on over all proformance unless you need to pass emissions

First off check all ur motor and transmission mounts. If they are good check ur "U" joints for wear. If this fails it probably is ur transmission.
