Take it to the dealer or other shop. if you are not epa 609 certified you can not touch the a/c system on any vehicle.

Just go to Wal mart or a parts store and buy about three large cans maybe four of AC Pro it comes with its own hose and everything. Set the gauge on can to the outside temp , attach to low end of charging port(it can only be attached to low end) and squeeze trigger on can in short bursts. Go to You Tube it will explain better...

Look under the hood and open the black plastic cap on the lower aluminium valves and spray inside BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING READ THE INSTRUCTIONS on the can the car needs to be started and the a/c turned on before you spray it in keep car and ac on while you add the freon

On my 2001 malibu the a/c will not stay on.

Maybe it's low on Freon and the pressure switch in the system is turning it on and off. Add Freon if needed if it is low on pressure.

I had the same problem twice and the first time it was and expensive job in the dash board can't remember Wat it was called a year later the same problem and the freon was low but everybody else was saying something different like a hole was in the hose but it was just the freon the last time

If the ac system is out of freon,it will not come on,the first thing to do,is to have the freon level checked with a set of ac gauges.
