Why does my 1996 Honda Accord turn over when I push the clutch in?

The car thinks the ignition is in the Start position, thus when you push the clutch in, it allows for the starter to be energized and engaged.

Something still is not wired correctly.
As a generality, it sounds like the momentary power wire (should only be hot when key is in Start position) is wired to the constant-supply power wire spot.

I found the info below, here - http://www.alarmsellout.com/support/diagrams/vehicle/HONDA%20ACCORD%201985-2005.pdf

12V CONSTANT WHITE or WHITE/BLACK
STARTER BLACK/WHITE
IGNITION BLACK/YELLOW

2000 chevy cavalier the clutch will not engage to start the car

If you push the clutch all the way down and the engine doesn't turn over, it could be a battery or wiring problem, or maybe a bad starter. If you have checked all these, check the clutch safety switch under the instrument panel.

I have a 1982 dodge ram w150 318 4 speed when i turn the key i lose everything let me start from the beginning my truck started up then died then when I went to restart I heard a thunk then nothing last...

What happens when you turn the key to on? Do the warning lights and gauges come on? Turning the key to start, do the lights and gauges stay on? Just nothing at the starter?

Or does power just shut off when you turn the key to start, everything goes out, no warning lights or gauges? Then check cables, battery terminals, grounds for clean tight connections. There is a problem between the battery and the ignition switch.

If the switch still receives and sends power out (to the dash, for one) but start circuit is not working (from battery to ignition switch to clutch switch to starter relay to starter solenoid to starter to ground-and back to battery), then here's where we at: with key off, use a small screwdriver and short the big cable at starter to the starter solenoid small wire connection, or use a small jumper wire to do the same-battery cable at starter to the small wire connection on the starter solenoid. Starter motor should spin and crank engine. Does it? If so, start checking the start wire out of ignition switch for power when key is held in start. If you have a clutch switch, check for power in with key in start. Should have battery voltage to the clutch switch with key held in start. Keep checking the start wire along the start circuit. Not sure how the start relay is wired into the circuit, would have to see a diagram, but if you pull the relay out and use a test light or multi meter, could check for power on the terminals where relay plugs in. Key off, should have one terminal that is hot. With key held in start, at least one other terminal should also be hot. This would be the start wire out of ignition switch sending a signal to the relay.
Good luck, hope you find it. Sorry I don't have a wiring diagram to help you more.

The clutch has to be in for my 85-s10 blazer to start and it wont start unless i use a screwdriver on the starter. any answers?

Your diagram is below. Since the starter jumps at the solenoid, the problem would be the ignition switch, the clutch interlock, or the wiring. Check for power at the yellow wire that goes to the switch under the clutch pedal when the key is turned to start. If you have power on the red wires to the ignition switch but no power coming out when the key is turned to start, replace the switch. If you DO have power on the yellow wire, try bypassing the interlock by pulling the connector off and connecting the terminals inside the connector with a large paperclip. If that doesn't work, the purple wire from the interlock to the starter solenoid may be broken. Please let me know if you have more questions.

Car would not start....no cranking...no sound!!!!

Do you know how to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? You need to check volt on the starter circuit , ignition etc... Anything that controls the starter , relay , ignition switch . First looking at a wiring diagram to see what all is involved in starting the vehicle . You can find a wiring diagram at http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter your vehicle info. year , make , model an engine . Then under system click on engine , then under subsystem click on starting .Then click on the search button .Video's on youtube for testing starting circuit . Ok hear we go agian 2000 ford taurs 3.0 lit no a/c when i jump the compressor with a jumper wire. it works fine and i checked the high side swtich it works fine and the low side works ok to.

There are 3 likely problems:
  1. system could be air locked; when recharged, its possible more air than refrigerant was pumped into the system
  2. clogged or bad expansion valve
  3. AC clutch is bad; although it will engage when you jump it, the clutch could still be bad preventing it from engaging when you turn on the AC
Hope this answers your question. Best of luck.
