Hi Lucky, I suggest that you have a technician come around and carry out a diagnostic scan on your vehicle. It may be a safety fail safe system stopping the vehicle from starting if there is a problem with the steering. The read out and error message means there is a problem which needs attending to and simply canceling the code will not solve the problem which has caused the warning. Regards John

SOURCE: I have an 2010 Audi

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector of the car and let it sit for atleast 5mins. then reconnect it again. This will reset the system and can get your radio back to it's normal operation.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

SOURCE: Error message "Steering Fault" : Renault Megane

  • This is a common fault with this vehicle. You have electric steering and it starts out not to bad and then becomes impossible to turn. It would be best to have yours refurnished as new ones are quite pricey.

  • Hope this helps.
