SOURCE: Check Engine Light with Code P0072 on 2004 Volvo XC90

Grounding issue "Circuit low" = ground wire problem or another system on the same circuit using too much current.

Check all wiring issues and then correct the issue to have the code go away :)

SOURCE: volvo 2002 S80 T6 - codes P0011 and P0011

Weell it sounds like you have the days old problem Pepole dont know how to look after there cars.
The muck you still have in the engine isent doing it any good and so you have to get rid of it all, as its in the engine block and is got to go ,,so drain a little of water out and put in 1/2 a cup of washing up liquid in the radiator and start the engine and let it get hot and take the reves up to 1000 rpm now and then to keep the water going around the system, after about 1/4 hr turn off,,stand for 10 minutes ,,and then remove the cap slowly and then take off the Bottom hose and let all water out also take off Top hose at the engine end and put the house water hose in the top and turn it on till all water comes out clean. Then put hose up into the bottom hose and do the same again ,and the same in top again. Now with a clean engine you can do the same to the new Radiator and wash out all gunk .then check the thermostat and make sure its 100% (any doubt through it out) and take note how it comes out so you can fit a new one the same way,
Now refit both hoses and fill with coolant or antifreeze and TURN on the heater to hot before starting as you also have to get out the air from heater when it was drained and you will trap the air which might cause you code problems..
But now try service light reset
1,,Turn Ignition to Number 1position.
2,,Press and hold "day counter"reset button and turn
ignition to II(second) position, hold down for about 12 seconds.
3,,Afterservice light flashes, release button, there should be 2 beeps confirming reset was successful.
Let me know how you get on .. Ron

What does a volvo s80 code reduced engine power mean?

The ETM (electronic throttle module) has been known to cause the "Reduced Engine Performance" code on volvos. However, there are many sensors which could have triggered this problem. If your check engine light is on, have it scanned for free at an autozone for any engine codes which may point to the culprit.

VOLVO S 70 1998-When I stop at a stop sign/light my car makes a vibrating sound and then it stops after I come to a complete stop. I put on new rear brake pads(Volvo pads not after market) about a month...

Sounds like your rotors are warped,, if you installed new disc brake pads and DID NOT turn the rotors.. there is a good chance they DO need turning...

Urgent system service fault message + reduce performance

This is like your engine check on other models. You should start by checking all your fluids. Transmission if automatic, brake fluid resivor, radiator, engine oil, and even your windshield wiper water. While your at it check your airfilter. You should be able to see white light coming through it while holding it up against the sun. If it is dark replace it.
The if all else fails reset yourcomputer. To do this you take the negative battery cable off. Then to drain any reserve electricty in the system turn your lights on and radio and heater and turn your ignition keyto the on position. Letthe car sit for 30 minutes and then turn everythingback off. Remember your key to off also. Replace the battery cable and start the car. See if light went out. I hope this helped, The Raz

It may well be a camshaft sensor at fault. The camshaft sensor is part of the 'ignition timing' system and works in conjunction with the ignition packs (or coil). The camshaft sensor is a common item to fail. However, before you rush off and buy a new one, be aware that there are other sensors on the Volvo. And Volvo parts aren't cheap. There's a crankshaft sensor and cold start sensor too ... Best bet is to get a mobile mechanic who has the necessary electronic equipment to connect to the car's ecu (computer). This will usually give an error code which indicates what unit is faulty. You can always change the parts yourself. Don't be tempted to change one part after another in the hope that the car will start. It'll work out more expensive in the long run. Pay to get it checked professionally and do the work yourself.
