Check instrument cluster 5 amp fuse.check main fuse relay box left end of the instrument panel.look inside fuse cover it will show you fuses location to control circuits.

the chances are your brake light switch is faulty.the cruise control relies on one side of the switch.
the epc light will come on for this code but will need to be reset through diagnostics port.
hope this helps.
you can also check for codes through the diag port for exact diagnostics.

this is the Malfunction Indicator Light, also known as the check engine light, this light is to alert u that a problem exists in the electronic controls of your engine, transmission or emission system, or a combination of all three, u can go to any Kragen or Autozone car parts store and they will run a test to determine the cause of the light free of charge.

probably you have either fitted the wrong bulb, accidently fitted the bulb wrong or shorted out the wiring or holder, look in your handbook for fuse location and double check your hatch bulb.
