Need help urgent, for isuzu 4jx1 3.0 diesel engine , please advise what course the diesel stop flowing back to the diesel filter?

I assume you are asking what causes diesel drain-back? This is when a vehicle is not used for a while the fuel drains back towards the fuel tank leaving the fuel pipes empty and causes extended starting times or starting and then stopping or simply not starting.

It isn't unusual with some older vehicles. There are usually a number of nonreturn valves in the fuel system that are supposed to prevent it happening and in addition because it is supposedly an airtight system the fuel would usually be retained by outside air pressure.

A little wear here and there, a little erosion caused by microscopic particles in the fuel and a little corrosion from unavoidable nasty stuff in the fuel and after a while new things become old.
O rings stop being efficient and canister type fuel filters can be imperfect and allow air into the fuel lines.

Few diesel vehicles have a submerged tank mounted electric fuel pump but those that have are superior in these respects as they have a pressurised fuel line instead of a fuel line with negative pressure.

A common modification has long been to fit an additional inline nonreturn valve to prevent drain-back. These days it is more common to fit an inline hand-prime pump - a rubber bulb complete with nonreturn valves. preferably in the supply line from the tank to the filter.

WHAT CAUSES HARD START AFTER FUEL RAN OUT

Try bleeding the system again. Sounds like there is still some air in the fuel system.

How does the diesel fuel system work -does it have a lift pump

The function of diesel fuel system is to deliver the diesel fuel to the engine clean of of purities at the right pressure. In most generating unit diesel engines, the fuel system loop consists of the following major parts:
1. Day Fuel Tank
2. Fuel Water Separator
3. Fuel Strainer
4. Fuel Supply Pump
5. Fuel Filter
6. Fuel Injection Pump
7. Injectors
8. Return line to the day tank
Hope it can help you.

Why genset not starting.

you say diesel so I assume that it is a diesel engine
The symptoms indicate low pressure in the fuel pump and that can be from air in the system or blocked filters
you mentioned deep sea controller so is it right to say that it is on a boat
If so then check the fuel tanks for a black moss like substance
this causes filter blockages and eventually gets to the pump and injectors and creates hard start problems
if so empty the tank and clean out as best you can
regularly use diesel fuel conditioner to stop the moss regrowth
It comes from condensation in the diesel tank and is a common problem in tanks that are left standing partly empty or with low fuel in them

97 2500 diesel starts bucking like it is starving for fuel. After letting it sit for 10 minutes it starts and runs fine for 10 miles and does the same thing.

Overheating issue which is making the car management system go into limp mode ...check the dash when this happens...there should be a yellow icon flashing whilst it slows and lurches....if it is doing this get it to a garage where they can do OBD checks to read the error codes off the cars ecu.most likely oil sensor or temp gauge for cooling system is causing this as it seems to correct once the car/ truck is allowed to cool down.if it was fuel then this would happen almost straight away.

How do i reduse the flow on my diesel pump on a citroen berlingo vna thanks

I am not sure why you should want to reduce the capacity of your diesel pump. Perhaps you would enlighten me?

The diesel system always has a surplus capacity to allow more diesel to be pumped to the injectors than they could possibly need. This cuts the chances of vapour locks, air bubbles, cavitation and suchlike and as the surplus is returned to the fuel tank it is also an essential part of the cooling of the fuel system and it is for this reason, certainly in hot weather, it is unwise to operate a diesel engine with less than half a tank of fuel.

In the case of a conventional diesel pump the surplus fuel flow is governed by valves and graded holes but in the case of the modern common rail system the flow is mostly controlled by a pressure regulator and the rail pressure is constantly monitored by the engine management system via a pressure sensor.

Diesel fuel in cooling system

never heard of this for a long while but some old trucks had a heating system to prevent the fuel from freezing so check for this failing which then a fault with a cylinder head if a indirect injection system called a ricado head where a seperate combustion is contained within the head ,or someone has put diesel in the rad thinking it was antifreeze especially if of irish origin
