i have a 96 Mercedes-Benz C-Class 220. I ran out of gas the other day got it off the road, filled it back up & drove it home ( about 20 miles ). I got up the next day & it drove fine for about 2 hours & then after leting it sit running white i went in the store for about 15 mins it started stalling like it was running out of gas ( has a full tank ). I made it back home & it died as i pulled in the driveway & hasnt started since. what could be the problem?

'06 taurus shuts off while driving

( now they say they can't figure out whats wrong with it unless it happens while they are driving it to know exactly whats wrong !
Even with it actting up it could be a pain to find . All the electronic's an wiring an connections , ground circuit's an B+ circuits .Plus C.A.N. Serial data network , do you know what this C.A.N. is ? controller area network , all the modules on the vehicle share info on it . The instrument cluster gauges info come's from the PCM - engine computer over this network . Here read this
How to Diagnose Controller Area Network CAN Your problem could be cause by lose ground connection ,a lose network connection . Something that mite require the dash (instrument panel ) to be pulled out of the vehicle . So don't be to ******* the dealer , they just want to be sure , because if they need to pull the dash out that can be expensive ! Close to $1,000 bucks .

Blowing fuses

the lighter circuit is a prime suspect.. often shorting out due to objects getting in there or liquids... inspect and repair as necessary that area first

Why won't my Mazda mx6 not start?

If you connected the battery cables to the wrong posts, you may have fried a maxi fuse, or the computer.
I would start with testing the major fuses.

I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my car. The engine revs up and down and uses excessive fuel

Replacing your idle air control motor will more than likely fix your idle problem. If not, you may have a vacuum leak. As for poor fuel mileage, there are many things that affect that: tire pressure, driving habits, worn ignition parts, use of A/C, poor vehicle alignment, etc.

I have a 93 Toyota Camry and windows locks don't

Sounds like you need to find the fuse panel and check for blown fuse's first. Could also be the switches are bad as well. The car is 18 years old and things have just worn out. The guys and gals at just about any auto parts store are more than willing to help you figure out what is wrong and/or refer you to a good shop.
