Question about Cars & Trucks
First you have to buy a conversion kit at most any auto parts store.
The kit has the fittings to convert the system to R134 freon.
Problem is, the system needs to be empty of the old R12 which is harmful to the air. And if the system is already empty, the leak would need to be fixed first.

SOURCE: how to recharge the ac
reclarification. I will need to know what type of vehicle it is. Secondly, do you have the equipment to evacuate and then recharge the a/c system?
The system must be pumped down to 20 inches of vacumn for at least 1 hour before recharging the system.
