Hi, mise fire can be caused by the plugs, plug wires,or coil packs.

remove the air filter housing and check the wiring has not rubbed through the air filter support bracket the other prob may be water ingress in the engine control module.

What's the sign of a misfire on a 2003 Jaguar S type V6? What do the car do when there is a misfire? Is there a noise or something?

2001 Jaguar S Type that has a #6 cylinder misfire and oil on that coil.

The oil may be causing the misfire,you will need to replace the valve cover gasket and sparkplug tube seals, the oil leaks in from the tube seals,also make sure to clean hole out after the repair and make sure the coil is still good, you may have to replace the coil boot if its soaked with oil,

Cylinder 8 misfire, restricted performance is also coming on

you may have to replace the cowl pack itself that sit on top of the spark plug and sometimes you can get by just changing the boot wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

look at your spark plugs holes, one or two probably have water in them, from car wash or condensation from the coil cover
