Question about 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse
2001 Mitzubishi mirage 1.8L. Started acting up yesterday wouldn't shift into overdrive. neutral light flashing. stalled When I turned the corner restarted and seemed to drive OK. Codes P0765 & P0760 are set. I don't think it is the solenoids the odds of 2 solenoids going out at same time. I was wondering what plugs I could clean and check to trans and if the PRNDL switch could effect this? Or maybe a dirty fluid & filter? Maybe a loose ground to solenoids or a short?

The OD solenoid is located on top of the tranny (driverside if I recall) You can put 12V positive directly to the solenoid, if working you;ll hear it click (truck not running of course) If your hear it click keep the power to the solenoid and take it for a spin. If OD works then you know the solenoid is of and you look for other problem or rewire to solenoid (I rewired on my 1990)
Please let me know if the assited you,

Try replacing the Oil Pressure Switch/Sending Unit. It should only be a couple bucks at your local auto parts store.
