I think for sure that the timing belt has jumped a tooth. This can happen if your water pump, or your idler pulley, which are driven by the timing belt, "locks up" for a second. Best advice: replace the timing belt (you should not "reuse" it, as once it slips a tooth, that tooth is now weakend. Also, check the feel of the water pump impeller-gear...if it feels gritty or does not spin freely, replace the water pump while you are in there. It's not much more work. Also check the IDLER pulley for the same feel. If it feels bad/does not spin free, replace it. One or the other caused your problem.
Let me know how it turen out.

Try replacing the intank plug-in for the fuel pump. They have been known to go bad even though they look okay.

Have you changed your oil? Rotella 15W-40. These engines really don't like old oil. It becomes too thick for the injection pump to work correctly. Another possibility is a bad cam sensor on the front of the motor. Most engines call this the crank sensor but on this engine you have to look it up as a cam sensor.

SOURCE: 1993 chevy truck with 350 engine will turn over

Check the crank and cam sensor. If the magnetic pickup in any of these sensors are bad it will not send a signal to the computer for the correct spark in timing sequence. If they are very old and never been replaced I would replace these also for they do get weak from age and the heat from the engine. Magnets do lose their power from heat generating through them you know

My 97 tahoe the rpm's start going funny engine startes running like its missing popping and ******* and die's it has new fuel pump ,sending unit ,rotor, cap.cam censor ,fuel relay everytime i c

I'm assuming you replaced the fuel filter when you did the pump.
You'll have to try to figure out if you are loosing fuel to the injectors or spark to the plugs to proceed.
Its possible something is failing inside the distributor among other things.
I'm also assuming you have checked the computer for trouble codes.

I turn the key on my Opel corsa & i hear the fuel pump kick in. i drive 100 meters no problem then the car starts to **** & loose power. there is a fuel starvation. I have to stop the car again...

There is a moduel that when the engine starts the moduel sends power to the fuel pump. this is because power that originly is supplied when you turn the key is removed to prevent the pump from overheating if the engine doesnt run. Your problem is at the moduel.

Truck problems

Could be the crank sensor since RPM makes a difference.
You would need to know if it looses spark and then if it is loosing power to the coil or the ground signal.

if you are sure there is no spark and you have replaced the coil, then the only other thing it could be is your spark control moduel.it works off your computer to tell your plugs when to fire..somettimes they go out only when they heat up and will start working again after they cool down,,but sometime they don"t give you any warning and just stop working all together.. would say you have a bad Spark Control Moduel.....it is pretty easy to fix, just make sure you use or buy the right tools to take it off , ask at the Auto parts store to get the right tool, and the right part..

98 chevy 1500 starts and then shuts right off have replaced fuel pump and filter ,crank sensor, cam sensor ,oil sen. coil, ign.mod and PCM

On some chevys the oil pressure sending unit closes the circuit to continue the fuel pump to run after start. In the event of a wreck ,the car stops running thus no oil pressure thus turns off power to the fuel pump .A safety to help prevent fires. When you first start the car, the computer turns on the fuel pump for about 20 seconds just enough time to start and allow the oil pressure sending unit to close the circuit to allow it to continue running. when the car car has NO oil pressure or the sending unit fails ,it will start then shut down..as many times as you try to start. replace the oil pressure sending unit and secure a good conection.
