The engine temp sensor for the engine computer should be on the intake near the upper radiator hose.

Where is the engine temp sensor located in a 94 dodge spirit. 2.5 liter car

It doesn't show an 'engine temperature sensor' for that year, make and model
What you do have is a Coolant Temperature Sensor (there are actually one of each on other makes and models - an engine temperature sensor and a coolant {radiator fluid} sensor). Just doesn't appear to be a separate engine temp sensor for the 94 2.5. The coolant temperature sensor is the sensor that will make your temp gauge in the car move. It's location is - Under hood, center, front engine area, near distributor, mounted in driver side of cylinder head. I've attached a pic of the sensor for you.

You also have an intake air temperature sensor and an ambient air temperature sensor that tells the computer the temp in the vehicle's cabin. I can shoot you that info if your question wasn't answered above.

Citroen C8 2.0 HDI external temperature always wrong!

It\'s a small probe inside the passenger mirror. Look underneath for a little lump, looks like a water droplet. My C8 reads 58 degrees! Probably a similar fault. Removing the mirror is not bad, tilt to extreme to reveal metal spring clip inside. Putting back is a real pain.

Where is the coolant sensor located

COOLANT SENSOR. Usually located on the cylinder head or intake manifold, the coolant sensor is used to monitor the temperature of the engine coolant. Its resistance changes in proportion to coolant temperature. Input from the coolant sensor tells the computer when the engine is warm so the PCM can go into closed loop feedback fuel control and handle other emission functions (EGR, canister purge, etc.) that may be temperature dependent.

Whenthe car is cold there is no power however when it is warm it seems fine please help many thanks

This sounds like your coolant temperature sensor needs to be replaced. Not the sensor for your dash gauge, but the one which tells the computer the temperature of the engine's coolant. (I'm only telling you that because auto parts stores mess it up all the time! :) The sensor is generally located near the thermostat housing. It's easy and fairly inexpensive to replace. (Probably around $20.)

I hope this helps! :)
