97 Tracker and just stopped running. Has new timing belt, water pump and all front eng. parts. New fuel pump, fuel filter, new distributor, Dis cap, rotor button, plugs, plug wires, mass air flow sensor, Car will start and run and drive great for about an hour and then it will die. won't start for about an hour, then starts just fine and repeats symptoms above. It has fuel and fire when I check but still will not start until it cools. Can it be the Crank speed sensor or is this just another dead end? Really becoming befuddled here!!!!

Please RUN the scanner /computer by easy diagnostic and fix it. Remember the electronic vehicle now is very complicated. You have a faulty PCFM + BCM+ignition COil, sensor, etc. see the diagram attached. GOD BLESS YOU

I had this problem as well. The tracker had sat for 8 years and would only run off of starter fluid. I replaced the filter and fuel pump then I had no fire. Located under driver side dash in the fuse panel theres a fuse for coil. I don't remember which one, but, I am pretty sure it is a 10 amp fuse. Or just do like I did and replace any bad fuses. If that doesn't work it will be a relay located above that same fuse box.
